On June 1st, 2008 communities around the globe will stand in solidarity with Israel as she celebrates her 60th Anniversary! Our expectation is that hundreds of thousands of people will “Walk the Land” both in body and spirit. This first worldwide Walk for all ages, affiliations and denominations is in support and celebration of this milestone year in the history of the State of Israel.

Walk the Land is the first-ever event of its kind and will undoubtedly attract extensive press and media coverage.

the Afikim Foundation as well as locally by all participating communities.
• Walk the Land participants encompass all ages, affiliations, denominations
and geographic locations and will draw upon an active, urban and
socially-aware population.
• Major area Jewish Federations/ Community Centers, capable of galvanizing
community-wide participation, are the coordinating organizations and have
infrastructures to support the implementation and advertising of large-scale events.
• The Walk the Land website, with your logo, will be the portal for every
participating city worldwide to access their community’s webpage.
• A viral video contest will drive targeted traffic to the website.
• A drawing for 10 free round-trip tickets to Israel will add incentive
for registrants.
• Your advertising dollars will also be classified as a charitable deduction
to a 501(c)(3) organization.
