Walk The Land

Register for your local “Walk the Land” celebration and be eligible to win one of 10 free round-trip air tickets to Israel!  Simply go to the Participating Communities page and find your closest community. Click on Community name and register to walk with that community or simply register for the Sweepstakes.

OFFICIAL RULES:
Drawing open to all persons (over the age of 13 at time of entry) legally registered in Celebrate 60! Walk the Land. No Purchase Necessary. Void where prohibited.
How To Enter: Entry period begins December 1, 2007 and has been extended to Setember 30, 2008. By registering to be a participant in Celebrate 60! Walk the Land in any participating community, entry in the drawing is automatic.

Winner Selection: Ten winners will be selected from all qualified entries received. The winners will be selected in a random drawing under the supervision of The Afikim Foundation whose decision is final and binding, within one week after all local walks have taken place in June.  The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be contacted directly via e-mail or phone within 48 hours of the drawing and prior to being listed on the website.  Prize must be claimed within 30 days.  Other restrictions may apply. Prize: Roundtrip coach airfare to Israel from your local international airport. Winner is responsible for providing required travel documents for destination. All travel is subject to availability, black out dates apply, trip must be taken by September 30, 2009. Maximum retail value of each ticket is US$1,800 for flights from the Continental US and Canada, US$1,200 for flights from Europe, and US$2,500 for flights from Australia, Africa, and Asia.

Notification: Winner will be notified by e-mail, phone or mail and required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Travel Release and where legal, a Publicity Release, which must be completed and returned within 14 days after prize notification, or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Guest must be 18 years of age or older if they are not the child of the winner and must sign a travel release. All prizes will be awarded. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Entry Terms: Use of any automated entry software is prohibited. Subsequent attempts made by the same individual to enter using multiple email addresses will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an Internet entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the email account. Online entrants must complete all data requested on entry form. Incomplete entries are void. By entering, entrants acknowledge compliance with these official rules including all eligibility requirements. Neither The Afikim Foundation nor any telephone network or service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, and lost/delayed data transmissions. In addition failures of any telephone network computer equipment, software, or inability to access the website or online service, or any other error or malfunction is not the responsibility of the sponsor. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Proof or emailing does not constitute proof of delivery.

Eligibility: Drawing open to all registrants, limited to one entry per person 13 years of age or older at time of entry. Except as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules, prizes won by a person who is a minor in his or her state, territory, province or country of residence may, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, be awarded to his or her parent or legal guardian, and, that parent or legal guardian will be responsible for completing the verification process and executing all prize claim documents and otherwise complying with all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. In the event a Minor is a winner, such Minor and any guest (as applicable) must be accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian on such prize and, as applicable, the parent or legal guardian will be considered one (1) of the allotted guests. Employees and immediate families of The Afikim Foundation may not enter. Sweepstakes void where prohibited and is subject to all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Conditions: Winners agree that the The Afikim Foundation and employees shall not be liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this promotion or from the acceptance or use of the prize awarded. By entry into this sweepstakes, winners agree to be bound by these official rules and the winner consents to the use of his/her name, city, and state of residence and/or photograph for promotional purposes online and off-line without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.  If The Afikim Foundation determines, in its sole discretion, that there is any suspended or actual electronic tampering with the sweepstakes or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the sweepstakes, The Afikim Foundation will reserve the right to void all entries at issue and/or terminate the drawing and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all eligible entries received as of the termination date. If the drawing is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to the expiration date, notice will be posted at http://www.Afikimfoundation.org. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this drawing is unlawful and subject to legal action by The Afikim Foundation. Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors or problems in connection with any drawing-related materials.

The Sponsor is not responsible or liable for incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by a participant, equipment or programming utilized in the Drawing or technical or human error in processing submissions. Sponsor disclaims responsibility or liability for: (i) the accuracy, availability or timeliness of information published about the Drawing; (ii) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of entries; (iii) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible entries; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, or from participation in the Drawing; (v) printing or typographical errors in Drawing materials; or (vi) problems or technical malfunctions of telephone networks or lines, computer online-systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, Internet congestion. If, for any reason, the Drawing is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Drawing, Sponsor may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Drawing.

Additional Terms: This Drawing shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York without regard to its rules governing conflicts of law. All participants and their heirs and assigns, consent to the jurisdiction of the federal and state courts in New York County, New York for all legal proceedings relating to this Drawing. Participants agree to use any materials or information procured as part of the Drawing only for Drawing purposes and not for any commercial purpose.
